C&L Racer

I ordered one of these with the xcal 2 (on the way now), and was reading somewhere that this CAI is more for a car with heavy mods. My car is stock and i was wondering if this will cause problems, or will it be the same as the street C&L???

it's just made of plastic instead of aluminum, it'll save you a few pounds which will translate into .000001 in the quarter mile!

You'll be fine, a CAI is one of the first mods many people do.

The "Racer" flows more air is all. It just works even better if you have more "breathing" mods like long tube headers and an o/r pipe.

I have one and it works just fine.

I also have the C&L Racer with BamaChips 93 Octane Race tune on my GT.

It's fantastic!

No problems of any kind.

My motor is stock, except for the C&L Racer + BamaChips 93 Race tune. No problems, just smiles.

No problems on otherwise stock engine here.

I expect it will be more able to accomodate the extra airflow needed when I do a cam swap later on down the line.

Like everyone else said, you'll be fine. C&L Racer with Brenspeed tunes on mine and it feels specfreakintacular!

It is able to flow more air since it has a larger ID (95mm vs. 87?). It will work well on an otherwise stock engine plus it will support future mods that help the engine breath better (headers, cams, etc.).

You'll love it!

Another plus is that it adds a performance enhancement to the Saleen supercharger (more boost) should you opt for one down the road. And you won't need to sell the Racer CAI when upgrading to the Saleen supercharger, unlike all the other CAI's on the market. You will need to use motor mounts though.
