Realtors have been using that type of ploy for a few years, now. Haven't seen it with a Mustang yet. It's usually a SUV, like an Escalade.

so they add $26k to the price of the home. That 26k car will end up costing you 80k over 30 years. AND it's a crappy V6!

A couple years ago a developer in Las Vegas was giving away Monte Carlo's with new homes. One couple bought two, and made the paper.

Bet they're hating that decision now, with our market so depressed.

You got the right idea but $26K @ 7.25% interest over 30 years adds up to $63K.

It also brings up and interesting tax situation. If this sort of thing becomes widespread I'm sure the IRS will step in and rightly rule that the interest paid on the Mustang is NOT tax deductable as mortgage interest is.

In any case, I can buy my own Mustang and get it for a lot less than these sort of stupid house promotions will cost.
