bullitt mufflers vs stockers
First off, I know the bullitts are designed to work with the bullitt midpipe, CAI and tune. I just wanted info on the mufflers themselves. I have Mac LTs and prochamber. Was running the Mac axlebacks but it was pretty loud. Sounded good but have a bit of rasp. Put the stockers on and its too quiet. Found a couple sets of Bullitts that Im thinking of picking up. But dont want it to sound nearly the same. How do the bullitts compare to stockers in terms of sound? The tips look WAY better so thats a plus.

I added Ford Racing Performance Pack. It adds a bullitt like CAI, tune, and GTB mufflers. May want to you tube for GTB muffler sounds. The GTBs are louder than stock but are still 50 state legal. They sound deeper than the stockers. Your right in that the tune changes the sound some. I can hear the difference between the FRPP tune and a tune the Tillman tune.

The stock Bullitt muffs are slightly deeper and louder than regular GT muffs. They're supposed too get a little louder as they age. I pulled mine off at 500 miles and went to KR muffs with the same tips.. then switched again, for JBA muffs with 4" Shelby tips. Those Shelby JBAs are what I have on the car now.
The Bullitt muffs are good OEM quality, but very heavy... They're a nice upgrade from stock GT muffs, if you can get 'em for a low price.

I don't understand why FRPP screws you on the KR's. The GT500's that guys are putting on their '11 & '12 5.0's are about 40% less.
