Bullitt authenticity help
Bullitt authenticity help
Alright, so I like to buy salvage cars, fix them, sell them, and then upgrade. Right now though, I'm in a predicament. There's an 08 black gt that I'm more than sure is a bullitt for sale on the website I go to. It has the wheels, the VIN seal on the door has the right tire size, the speedometer is the bullitt one, the badge on the back and steering wheel say bullitt, and the dashboard is that swirly brushed aluminum. The only thing missing though is the strut tower brace with the production plate on it. Is there any other way to tell if this is a real bullitt?? I looked up the VIN codes and T82 is either a shelby gt or a gt coupe. They don't have a separate code for bullitts. Would you guys think ford could make another production plate for me with the bullitt number if they looked up the VIN? I could order a Bullitt Authenticity Certificate, but I wanna put strut tower brace on anyway and think those are cooler.
Check the following things off to make sure, seats are Shelby seats, not standard GT seats, as is the stearing wheel. The brake calipers are painted same color as the wheels. Mufflers are unique with paked tips. You can see the holes inside the tips. H-pipe is also unique. Finally, it should have the factory cold air kit. The damper is different also, but don't know if you can tell. The rear end should also be a 3.73.
thanks for your help! it has all those things. Right now I can't see the rear end through the pictures. I know they have stickers on them that say what ratio they are though. But either somebody went through too much trouble, or this IS a bullitt. I might be joining the club soon guys.
Replace the vin here with your VIN:

And it will show if its a Bullitt or not.
