Build Sheets???

Has anyone ever found a build sheet in their 2005+ Mustang? If so, where was it located?

Mark

Those were only on Shelby's back in the day. I don't know of anyone who found theirs from 05 on, including Shelby's.

This is not totally true. They do use computers yes BUT, they also use Build Sheets. Watch the video linked below carefully and you will see the 1st Shelby GT500 being produced. You will see a build sheet on the motor, the front bumper & on the underside of the trunk lid.

Unfortunately most of them get thrown away.

Cool

The SN95's are under the rear bumper cover.
I sure would like to get a hold of my 05's sheet.

Some people who ordered their Mustangs got one of these emailed to them. (see PDF) Ford considers the window sticker to be the build sheet now.

Had my 66 Fastback GT -- never looked but was told back in the day that the build sheet was under the back seat. Haven't looked on my 07 vert - to tell the truth - not really concerned. Really loved the 66 but it doesn't compare to the new one.

It's called the Final Report and it's computerized (see LBJay's post#7 above). I was lucky to receive a .pdf of my Final Report from Kzinti at the Blue Oval Forums before the fine folks at Ford shut him down. All he needed was my VIN number.

There must be a Final Report database which Ford employess can access. Unfortunately I don't have a clue who or where you might get a copy these days.

I found a build sheet under the front passenger seat of my 1969 Coupe. It was between the springs and cushion.

Take your vin # into a Ford parts dept. Ask them nice and they will give you a print out of everything about your car. I was impressed with all the info it has.

Build Sheet?

I think I may have found a build sheet today. Has anyone heard of an "All Item Broadcast"? Thanks

The info you guys are looking for is called the Vehicle Information Report and you can ask your service manager for a copy from OASIS. Takes less than a minute to pull it. All you need to give is your VIN. All Ford dealerships can pull this report. It's not a secret.

sometimes they are crumpled up with fingerprints all over it and shoved in the glove box when its sent out, or crumpled up on the floor. Its just a bunch of bar codes on a piece of paper with a few scribbles on it. Most never make it out to the dealership. Seems like you always see them in the trucks, but never in stangs. My car arrived here only 4 or 5 days after being built, I took it from the truck driver myself, and never saw one. Never seen one in any of the GT500s or other orders I babysit every minute its here in the dealership.

Here's one out of a Freestyle in the showroom(built 6/30), in perfect condition with no prints or scribbles or tears...Just reached in the window and grabbed it out of the glove box.

On both the 66s that I've had, they were wrapped and taped around the speedometer cable. Not sure if it depended on what factory they were built at (both mine were Metuchen-built) or if they were just stuffed where ever...
