Yea, going by that sticker date it says my car was made 10/12 or 10/17.
I am a total nerd. I kept all the car stickers, all the 05 articles, innovation drive passes, the times article all in a huge scrapbook saving it for someday.

I am also a nerd. I have everything from my 06 GT. I had a 88GT bought it new. Kept it 15 years and I don't have anything from that car. Not even a picture. I am not going to make that mistake again.

Then I had an '88 and I the only thing I have left of it is half a picture where it just happen to be in the background.
The next 88, I have a few pics but no paperwork.
My '03 I have a TON of pics and a little paperwork.
The '05 I have EVERYTHING but the build sheet. Trying to make up for the past I guess.
This is a bit off topic but.... I was under the impression that my car was built on 10/4/05 because of the picture attached here. yet.... I am also attaching a PDF of the dealer invoice for my car. The invoice states that IT (the invoice)was prepared 9/19/05? Can the invoice be prepared before the car is built? What are the numbers and dates on my car pictured (they are on both sides of the radiator) and what do the numbers at the very bottom of the invoice refer to (underneath and to the right of the VIN)? And do I have to change my sig? Too many questions.
Thanks.

How dare they write on your frame like that! Aint nobody gonna doodle on my car unless its a certain Carol or Jack!
Many car parts have dates on them (usually stickers) and they only indicate when that part was made (or touched) We have a ford abortion that has dates all over it because parts came from all over the world (australia, japan, germany, etc) They may have been stamped then, then assembled at a later date (confused about the frame though since clearly it was painted before the grafitti)

I just got the build date for my car and it is september 25th. So I dunno what that stuff is on my car. My car arrived at the dealer on sept 29th and I bought it on december 2nd. So they must have put the october 4th on there and the 4285 number whatever that means. Oh well.
I don't know what the numbers are on the bottom right of your invoice (and I work with Ford invoices every day) but yes, the invoice is always printed before the car is built. (but after it is serialized)
