OK, I was out at a bar Saturday night having a beer with friends. Well, as I walk up to my stang, i notice that something is not right.

Someone broke off my passenger side door mirror. Snapped it clean off, was hanging by the wires that run the mirror adjustment motor. First thing I do is fly off the handle and assume that someone broke it on purpose. Of course whoever did it didn't have the courage to leave a note a phone number or at least a piece of paper that said sorry. :bang:

I head back into the bar and find the manager to see if they have cameras that view the parking lot. Of course not. My second thought was to go to everone in the bar and find out who did it. That would have probably landed me in jail or the hospital. :nono:

Anyhow, I call my local friendly Ford Service Guy and he quotes me $145 bucks for the whole assembly, and that is getting it for me at cost, not retail ($200+). A salvage yard found one for me in Arizona for $100 delivered.

Anyone have any ideas where i may obtain one cheaper? I know that there are companies that will make replicas of stuff like this and sell it cheaper as it is not OEM Ford Genuine stuff. Is the 05 too new for this kind of stuff to be available yet? Has anyone removed theirs for some reason and want to sell it?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
