Brenspeed's Custom Grind Camshaft (Code named the "Detroit Rocker")
Introducing the newest Brenspeed custom grind cam (code named the "Detroit Rocker" Cam), to be released in April 2010. This cam has been in secret development for months between Comp Cams and us and we are now 100% pleased with the result. These cams offer perfect drivability throughout the entire RPM band, have shown to pick up 30 hp gains, and have that classic detroit hot rod lope.
These cams will retail for less than $700.00. They are a NSR cam and do not require phaser limiters. These cams have less torque loss when compared to the other cams designed for lope (sound) with the added benefit of hp gains, which is never a bad thing. They are also cheaper than cams designed for lope.
Our N/A cam is done and being run at this moment so they are available in April.
We are currently developing a "Detroit Rocker" cam for FI applications. Watch our news sections for release dates.

I'll go ahead and ask the first question
What benefits do i have or other fellow stang owners have in going with your detroit rocker cams rather than the thumpr line of cams when they shown the have some hp gains in the 30hp ballfield and that nice lope? What are the benefits of considering yours over the thumpr line other than torque number loss which is already minor?

What is the difference between these and Hot Rod cams. Are yours as aggressive as the FRPP pieces? What other mods does the black GT in the video have? LTs, mufflers, etc.
Right now I am trying to compare cams via iPhone and it isn't really working the best. Fellow S197 lovers, which one sounds better?

Great to hear they work well with 3.31's. That was going to be my question. That's one of the reasons I haven't done cams yet. Now to come up with $700 + the tools without the wife knowing.
BTW, they sound amazing!

As far as the mods, it had a JLT intake, charge motion delete plates, O/R H and Flowmasters.
That will be the hardest part, stocking away the money.

They don't.
But a lot of cam grinds out there lose low RPM performance in order to gain more high RPM performance. Steeper gearing will get and keep you in the high RPM band much more in order to take advantage of the high RPM band gains.
