Brakes grinding noise in back, help me out.

Hey Guys,

I had my car lowered about 3 months ago and after they lowered it, I could hear a squeeking noise coming from the rear brakes on every stop. It was not loud and I called the place that did it and they told me it was just new springs getting broke in. Yesterday, I got up to go to work and my emergency break was loose and coming up with no resistance and the car felt like the emergncy break was engaged while driving, like the rear of the car was pulling me from behind. I could feel it every time i took off. This morning I got up and see break fluid from rear wheel and take it to shop here and he just called me and told me rotors and caliper is worn out on right side and he is replacing them but he don't know what the cause from the wearing out is. My car only has 45,000 miles on it 07 model gt. I need to know what you guys think the problem is because I don't want to replace rotor/caliper and just wear theam down again. My car was lowered using the eibach springs kit lowered like 1'5". Could this be causing my rotors/caliper to be wearing out on one side? What do I need to do?

I say the springs are not the problem at all. A faulty caliper will cause that problem for sure. Do you use your ebake when you park? I know mine freezes in the winter and will not release all the way sometimes for a while. That will wear brakes out pretty quickly. Do you trust the shop doing the work? Also from time to time depending on what material you pads are made from they will squeak sometimes

Some months ago my rear driver side caliper decided to stick and was grinding into the rotor both while braking and non-braking. Took it to the dealer and I got a new set of rear brakes under warranty. If you still have a warranty, try taking it to the dealer.
