This is definitely the color combination I'm going for with the standard Bullit rims. I think it's the class of the color combinations. I will say though, that there's really only one I do not like and it's the bright red one (not redfire) the other one.
I drove the GT with the red interior at the Detroit (Belle Isle) Racing/Innovtation gig. The red interior is striking paired up with the black.
However, I really like the Mineral Grey and had my doubts as whether the red would pair up with it. When I looked inside of the Mineral Grey with IUP/Red, I was sold. It looked great. I think AmyV6 mentioned she liked this combo as well.

[/b][/quote]Amy, when I look at the red int. with the black, the red almost looks like it has a redish-pink color to it. Please tell me this is not so. Please! :worship: :worship:
I had a re interior in my 89 gt. looked great new . after a year it looked not so great.Red floor matts a pain to clean and the seats faded some. Besides , How can you ignore the fact that the black IUP looks classy, mean and retro all at the same time.Man- i love this interior. The best yet!!!!!!!
Yeah, I'm really torn whether or not to get the dark charcoal or the red in my black GT.
However, I think the above pic looks darker than it will in real life. It doesn't really look like dark charcoal so much as straight up black.
Guess I'll have to see them in person to decide.

A color combo I think would be interesting would be to only have the center sections of the seats red with the side bolsters in dark gray, along with the red door inserts and those to make the rear "elbow" inserts red too. More and more cars are doing this two-tone seat thing and I think they look real classy.
The red floor mats are, to my eye, a bit too much and not terribly practical.

Trying to think of a strategy to keep the interior looking new. The biggest culprit IMO is the sun. It really faded my '86 GTs red cloth seating. I think by keeping the car garaged, and getting another set of mats will help quite a bit. The red mats will be reserved for nice weather and special occasions only.

i dont care if they stand out or what everything that has to do with that car grew on me and i love every inch of it. but i have a feeling those red floor mats wont be sooo red for that long for some people. i know for me they will be fine no dirt NOT A SPEC well maybe alittle but no mud
CRAP!!! All this talk about this car!!! And I can't get one!!!
Unless anyone knows how to make a salesman look only at one's ability to make the payments and not one's credit history!
Damian.
Maybe I can get it all fixed by spring...don't want one 'till then, anyway....
