Best place to sell car online, california?

I'm trying to get rid of my 06 Mustang, because my dealer is screwing me on the trade and there is no way i'm going to loose that much money to get a new car. So i need to sell private party, i have it on craigslist already, where else do you suggest putting it for sale that would make it move quick? Thanks.

www.autotrader.com seems to be a good place to find Mustangs.

Personally I think autotrader sucks unless you spend alot for a big color add. Sure you can get an add till it sells, but they dont give you enough room to write much.

I had my old 4runner on Autotrader and Craigslist. Had probably 30 calls from Craigslist and 2 from autotrader.

are you talking about autotrader magazine? i'm talking about autotrader online...

you get 9 pics and i've typed huge descriptions on autotrader and never hit a limit...??

anyway, it also depends on where you live.. autotrader.com and cars.com is all over tv here and most here have never heard of craigslist.

i've sold my last 3 cars for more than i paid for them originally, even after driving them for over a year. great pics and a nice description can do you very very well on there. most recently sold my 6-speed 02 Trans Am for 20K, 3K over dealer retail

Alright, posted on autotrader last night, no hits so far. Keep note that i'm not in a high-population area like the bay or los angeles. Any other suggestions?

Beware of the AutoTrader scams. You will start getting suspicious emails with offers to buy your car from people out of the country.

And phone calls. Those reselling services in Canada were the ONLY calls I got from autotrader and cars.com. What a PITA. "We'll guarantee you sell your car in a week! Let me just take down some info. What's your SSN?"

Beware!

Craigslist!!!

I've sold a car and a motorcycle on Craigslist. Got exactly zero calls from an AutoTrader ad for the car during the 2 plus months it was posted and literally dozens a week from the Craigslist ad. Plus it's FREE!

Put it on a busy corner with a for sale sign on it. That seems to be the best way to sell a car in Chico. When it stops raining put it in the P.V. parking lot on the corner. I bet you will get several calls. good luck Paul ~

I commend you on your desire to trade in your V6 for a real car. But expect to get ripped off selling a car after only 1 year of owning it, the value takes the biggest hit in the first 2 years
