I know the flowmaster isn't being produced yet but i remember somebody posting that a guy had welded one on an 05. The original thread on stangnet has pics of it and a video with sound.

Added a few more choices,
I am leaning to Borla or Borla Stingers,
I know stingers are LOUD, just how loud they are is what I would like to know. I wish I could hear them in person.

If you want your car heard!!!! Go with flowmaster. The meanest sound out there. I'm gonna call tomorrow to see when they are comin out with 05 applications.

are we talkin' sound or performance? I've never seen anything other than pipes and mufflers from Flowmaster, but I LOVE their sound. Bassani came up with (or was the first to hit the market mainstreme) with the X-pipe, and hands down, that's a better performer than an H-pipe. Borla makes a pretty good high velocity exhaust, but high velocity is optimal for high RPM power range... no good for the low end. It really depends on the application....
But, my vote goes to Flowmaster.... 'cause I dig the sound.

I'll never again buy any exhaust product other than Magnaflow. I bought mine when not a lot of people had them, because I didn't want to be another Mustang guy with Flowmasters.
Don't get me wrong. I like the sound Flows make on most Mustangs, unless they're paired with an X-pipe. Sounds like crap.
The Magnaflows sound great and look great with that mirror-polished finish. If you've got to see the mufflers from the back of the '05, they may as well look good, right? They're also some of the most affordable, which is surprising due to the stainless construction.
Bassani cat-backs (axle-back for the '05) sound great. But, dang, they're expensive.
I currently have a Bassani X-pipe, but will go with a Magnaflow if they offer one for the '05. The cat-shield welds on my Bassani stink (going a little overboard with the filters, don't ya' think, guys?). They separated and started rattling. I had to have them retacked at an exhaust shop. Mine may have been an anomaly --- I've usually heard great things about Bassani --- but I'm not taking a chance on it. I'll go with the Magnaflow.
My $0.02.
