First- best thing EVER. Only I am still ticked I didn't succeed in lighting the tires up. Didn't hit a cone though. I got in the redfire gt.....

 

Stopped to begin the course.....

 

Took Off.....And immediately had the time of my life!!!!!
I got out of it shaking. NO idea how quick I got it, but it was spectacular! The gears are really short, the handling of the car, couldn't ask for anything more...

With that said- it was set up well, they had plenty to drive, I waited around ten minutes to ride. We got cool prizes, and Turner Field had some food. Course after racing, eating and watching the lucky folk who came after me I wanted to COME HOME! Won $10 in the scratch off lotto, heres to Lotto South now....
The display car wanted to come home with me....

I was surprised, it was not crowded. I parked not 20 feet from the Mustangs, and left with no traffic.
I am happy to be back home.

On an odd note- it cost me one tank of gas(11 gallons) + 2 gallons to get there and back-340 miles. Thats insane like 30 mpg in my olds. I will someday miss getting that.

 

I still have my Ford Racing Water from Sept 2. It's on display in my Livingroom!

The drive was absolutely awesome! Wondering if we would see ya there- I didn't realize it was going to be such a good course (with an excellent city view) - the ford guy I rode with was nice, but not very enthusiastic - apparently he told Karl to slow down several times when he drove hehe

Bananas later. Tired now.

I was getting to the front of the line- the redfire v6 was coming in, told em no way was I getting in it, gimme a gt. The guy who told you what car to get in said to me; how many cones you think you can get? I asked him how many he wanted me to get- apparently someone took out a bunch earlier. When I got in he told the guy who rode with me I was a hotrodder, watch out.
Unfortunately I COULD NOT GET THE TIRES LIT!-Hubby was standing right there where you take off into the course, I wanted to show off. Guy who rode was all SLOW DOWN !BRAKE! BRAKE! DOWNSHIFT! Honestly I care less we are coming on a hairpin and I can feel the turns, let me do donuts please.. The course was nuts. I tried my best to wrangle a do over. Not a feminine charm I possess could get me another card to race again.
The guy behind me made me chuckle- he got up, said to the girl- I guess nows the time to mention I have never driven manual.

Can you believe people showed up there to look at the two smelly cars? And were excited? And ignored the mustang?

 

April my wife thinks she saw you hot dogg'n in the Freestyle.... I'm must have been standing right next to Karl in the 9:00 shift. We need T-shirts.... Brad!
