Bama tunes

Having an issue with my Bama tuner. Got it this past Christmas, of course I got a CAI as well. But on Saturday I wanted to change my tune to a different one. It said complete and all that, I go to start and it won't, my car says fail safe engine mode. I pulled off the negative terminal battery and reset the car pretty much. Then my car read that it was "too lean," so yesterday I put a tune back on, it worked and went back go fail safe engine mode, out of fury I just left. Today I started it up and came right on. Anyone know what I should do?

05GT4.6,

I'm sorry about the problems that you're having with your SCT tuner. It sounds like a firmware issue that caused the glitch, and I'm sure that SCT & Bama will get you squared away. We send out thousands of tunes each month and most of our customers load them up right away and are ready to go! I'm sorry that it happened to be you that fell in the small percentage of issues.

Occasionally there are errors, but SCT and the Bama team will work hard to get you back on the road and enjoying your custom tunes! We've been talking with SCT for the last few weeks to get this updated firmware out there. The problems that we were seeing with back-to-stock failures are still very far and few. We've been manually updating our tuners before they ship to the newest 1.2.142 firmware, so that customers don't have to worry. SCT is confident that it's solved, and we've been testing the new firmware on our own fleet of Mustangs just to make sure!

Shoot me a PM with your order # included & I'll have my head tuning specialist Mike Wilson contact you directly. I'm confident between Mike & SCT, that you'll be enjoying your tunes in no time. We appreciate your patience while we get your issue resolved.

When was the last time you updated the firmware in the tuner?

This is why I'd only own a Bama Tuner. Customer Service is amazing. I'm sure they'll have you all squared up ASAP. Good Luck!
