I noticed when I got my car home that every time the door is opened the window goes down a little, and when you close it it goes back up! It seems like somthing to wear out fast..

 

No, don't worry about that. I have it on the 02 Tbird. The only time you may have a problem is if your battery goes dead or you remove power for a while. Once you restore power you have to re-teach the system. It should explain it in the owners manual. It was something like go up and down 3 times or something like that. It recalibrates the system. No biggy.
