Has anyone put a baby seat in the back of an 05 or 06 stang? We have a 3 day old boy, and it is a tight space back there. We need to get an infant seat ASAP for him, but was wondering if anyone had a suggestion. my wife would need to sit in the seat in front of him comforably, otherwise it is the supercrew for all the family outings, and that is just gonna suck!

according to the info I can find there should be latches or tethers in the back for child restraint safety seats.

Yes I have put both an infant seat and booster seat at the sametime. Put the infant seat behind the pass without the base if you can, if you have to use the base it makes it a little tight for the passanger, but not to bad for short outings.

I've got 2 child seats in mine - one for our 3 year old, one for our 2 year old. One seat is smaller and we use it for the 2 year old, behind the drivers seat, the bulkier seat we use for the 3 year old, behind the pass. My driving position is fairly upright (not overly-so, but certainly not in the boy-racer reclined position), so this setup works very well for us and leaves both kids with at least some foot space.

Agree, there's enough room back there for kid seats. My four year old has her booster seat behind the passenger seat. My wife is 5' 4" and sits comfortably in the passenger seat. We have another on the way and where I have the driver seat, there's no way an infant seat will fit unless I adjust the seat. Guess I'll suck it up for short trips 'cause I can't see it happening for long ones. Of course this is where the wife will put the infant seat behind the passenger seat and tell me that she can drive. %$#*@& Um yeah, this is about the point where we pile into her Stratus R/T. :P

I got 3 kids so usually it is the Explorer, But we have been know to leave to oldest at a friends house. Plus me and the Kids made a trip to SC and it was not that bad. The oldest is almost as tall as my wife.

I just wish she was done potty training before she got here, so I wouldn't be finding random dookies hidden in her room

My fiancee's sister has been deployed to Iraq, and her husband is attending the Army Captain course for the next 6 months. So their 2 year old daughter is staying with us. She leaves for the sandbox Wednesday. Oorah!

O.K., didn't mean to pry, but just sounded odd. Well, at least you have leather seats...They wipe off easily.

I asked the same question back in July. I was really worried about it, but I have since gotten a 2006 mustang and currently have a booster seat in the back for my 3 year old son. It can be tight when mommy's in the passenger seat but it's not too bad.

Infants require rear facing car seats.so for your wife to fit comfortably i'm gonna go with no.regular car seats fit fine cuz they go all the way against back seat.

My 2 year old sits back there in her seat comfortably and my wife can sit in front of her. I can even keep the seat far enough up that my daughter cannot kick the seat.
My wife is only 5'2", though, so that helps.
Rear facing would be a little more difficult. I'm sure it would fit, but I don't know if you're going to get anyone into the front seat.

The latches where you attach the seat are so aggrivating! It took me a good ten minutes to get the childseat in for my 10 month old.

Second that. It is like an extra 30 min prep time so we can leave.

Mine stays in all the time (my daughter rides in my car almost daily). The latches are somewhat hard to get to. They're more narrowly placed than in most cars and a little hidden, but it wasn't too bad to get the seat in the first time.
