Arizona Friday Night Get together
#1
Hey guys. I was just wondering if anyone living in Arizona would be intersted in meeting this Friday night for a little get together. They have a like a car show every Friday night at the Northwest corner of 35th Ave and Northen, in the strip mall there. They have alot of old cars there. I've seen T-buckets, old Stangs, you name it. I was there two weeks ago with my son, and I was the only 2005 Mustang there. There was one guy that showed up in a rental 2005, but he didn't stay long. So, is there anyone intersted to meet there say around 7:30 pm? I think it would be cool if we had a line or two full of 2005's. Beside's we could finally see the face's to the log in names? Just a suggestion.........

Hey Mike, I pass that show on the way home every Friday night, I've always entertained the idea of stopping in, but since it seemed fairly exclusive to classic hot rods, I didn't feel right stopping in. But if someone else is there with their Mustang, I think I just might stop
They get started pretty early too, I'm not usually that late getting home on a Friday and I swear there's a ton of cars over there already at 5:00pm or so.

I'm familiar with the show at the Pavilions in Scottsdale every Saturday night. I did not know there was one on the west side. I would be interested if I had my car. Maybe I'll stop over there for a look see anyway. If I see some 05 stangs I'll come over and introduce myself.

Yup, should be fun
Hey Wade, did you see my weekend cruise thread last week? I almost thought you showed up out of the blue when I saw a Sonic Blue GT drive up, but it was a Sanderson customer who took delivery last week. In fact I'll PM him about this thread as he and his wife were wondering about this very kind of informal get together.

Have any of you guys been to Crusin' on Central? You never know when it's going to be, but it is always fun. It is just a whole bunch of people who get togther, and cruise up and down Central from Thomas to Camelback, and park along the whole side of the road and just shoot the breeze. It is really cool. It has the widest variety of cars that I have ever seen in public. It is also in my neck of the woods.

Lesa may or may not make it, depends how she feels after work and how hot it is. (Those darn Californians )
Andy, I had no idea that people were still cruising Central. Years ago it was off the hook from Northern all the way down to Baseline. Metro Center used to be VERY happenin as well about 20 years ago, but the poor store owners around the loop couldn't do any business on those nights so it was eventually shut down. Central picked up that slack for a few years and then died as well.
Nice to know that they're picking it up again. Going to have to check it out sometime.
