Thinking about signing up with AQHA. What I seen here and other sites is pay 30 bucks, get 500 discount. my question is do you have to take delivery by 12/31/04 ? don't think it's possible 30 day waiting period, got to order 05 gt and wait like everyone! anyone got ideas? thanks for all info.

I signed up with AQHA on Oct 11th. The only thing I have gotten from them is the welcome letter and the membership card. Their website says nothing about taking delivery by 12/31/04.

It seems the only restriction to the offer is the 30 day membership period, and some special editions may be excluded. This is a FORD discount and is not usable in conjunction with any of their plans (a,x,d,z), or private offers, which I suppose means military or graduate discounts.
I have no idea if it is good with Costco or AAA deals. Like the AQHA website says "see dealer for complete details and eligibility rules".

I just thought that I would take a chance on saving $500. I haven't ordered my 05 yet, but after 30 days I'll be checking to see if they are going to honor the FORD incentive. But you may want to check with your dealer first. I just didn't want to tell the dealer I was going to join just to get a discount. (in case he wanted to check my membership)

I thought I had read somewhere that you had to use it befoe 12/30. maybe it was on this site but the membership is good for at least a year. Hpefully we can get some confimation of the date. Since it is Ford sponered, they may have a date to try to boost sales in the 05 Stang, though I would like to see the differences in an 06.

When I ordered my 05 GT 2 weeks ago I mentioned the discount and the salesman said that they would honor it, but didn't want to talk about it untill the car came in.
I haven't seen any expiration date on the offer. So I expect to get it!

If I'm not mistaken, the yearly agreement between Ford and AQHA expires 12/31/2004. It has been extended each of the last 2 years. Not sure if they'll extend again or not.

i have emailed AQHA to ask them if 12/31/04 is the expiration date for this incentive, and all they respond with is exactly what is posted on the website. No help. My dealer said he hasnt heard of it before but would honor it if it was legit.

I got the membership a month or so ago after reading about it on this site. I used it last week when buying my '05. And I have my car. Saved $500. I would definitely recommend it.

I paid $30 for the membership tonight. It might conflict with my Military discount, but I think the $30 is worth the gamble. I will read the stuff on real Mustangs in the mags they send me at least. I know you have to be a member for at least 30 days, but I am not expecting to get my Mustang before Thanksgiving, which is exactly 30 days from today. I do expect to get it before X-Mas though, which is before the deal expiration.

Get the X plan! I joined Blue Oval News, explained that I needed the plan, and had one from a kindly member in 30 minutes. It saved me $1,400 on my purchase last Saturday. The car (V-6 Mineral Grey) is AWESOME!!!!

I have used it on 3 different vehicles. As said before, Ford and AQHA have usually extended the offer into the next year. You have to have the card to get the rebate. Unless the dealer demands that you wait 30 days, just take your card in and say I am a member here is my card, give me my rebate!!!

You cannot use it with other private offers, such as College rebate.

I haven't used it for an 05 Mustang. It is up to the dealer if they want to honor it or not but I wouldn't see why they would mind, it isn't any money out of their pockets.

For $30 bucks it is worth it, unless you can't get the dealer down to invoice minus rebates (AQHA), then X-plan is better.

I think it will be funny when there are a million mustangs on the road with $2000 to $3000 rebates a year from now, crap it might even be by this summer.
New 05 Mustangs going for around $22,000

It is not up to the dealer. Dealers have the option whether or not to accept A/Z/D/X plans, but the rebates are not optional. Besides, there is no reason not to give them, the money comes from Ford and doesn't effect the dealer at all.

NOt to be an hiney, but the dealer can refuse to do anything, even selling someone a car. Maybe I didn't phrase it right, I was refering to the 30 day wait period. I signed up for AQHA the day I bought a car from them and they let me use the rebate.

I don't think you can use the AQHA card with the X-Plan or any plans for that matter. It states that on the AQHA site
