That's awesome. I will have to keep them in mind when I get closer to ordering mine. That's about 90 mins from where I live.

Anyone here dealing with Texas Motors in Ft worth? They just sent me an e-mail saying they have sold 18 of 19 Mustangs they are going to be allotted. They say if I order now mine should in around late Dec or early Jan which is okay since I have back surgery in Nov. Just seems like alot of cars pre-sold.

I ordered mine in May. Redfire GT from Tracy Gersbacher at Valley Ford located in the St. Louis area. This is not my first purchase at this dealership. I place service way above price and the service rep there has met my needs in a timely manner and the repair was correct the first time. Yes, I am pleased and expect to pay 500 over incoice like everyone else. This GT was in third place on the dealer preorder list but was bumped up to number one by FMC for some unknown reason. Should be in any day.
Who started naming rides with her and she. Make no bones about it My GT is a true STALLION and will never be called a mare. The wax is ready for the first rubdown.

I ordered mine from Tommie Vaughn Ford a couple of weeks ago. My dealer said it should be submitted to plant anytime now - it has a priority code of 12, the lowest in the system, should be the next one pulled.
Joe L - who's your salesman? I'm buying from Terry Hinkle over there.

Cool. Terry's great too - he's in the Houston Lightning Club, so I've known him for a while.
I saw the order results yesterday - is yours a Sonic Blue, Redfire, or Black GT?

I asked Terry to let me know when you car comes in so I could drop by and look it over. You'll probably snag it up before anybody gets to lay eyes on it!! B)
Congrats man!!

At this point I think that I've probably got all the information that they have on my vehicle; it just took quite a bit of effort on my part to get it. It seems like there is only one guy at the dealership who can check the order statuses - if that guy is out, they have no way of getting you any information. One tidbit: they run updated reports once a week late on Wednesday afternoons, so there's no point in checking more often than that.
All this being said, no one there has ever been impolite or less than friendly with me despite my asking a lot of questions and showing up or calling once a week to check status. It seems to me that a "great" dealer would give you information before you asked for it (if you had shown an interest in having it), would call you back when they say they will, would be knowledgeable enough to know that information they have doesn't sound right, and would have multiple people who could access the information in case someone got sick. Unfortunately, I have never heard of a dealer like that in Houston. I grew up in Detroit, and generally had far better experiences with dealers there than I have here.

Congrats and good luck Klous! Texas Motors say they have at least 1(yellow GT) and maybe another due in next week. They are also planning a car show to unveil the new Mustang on Sat the 16th but no firm details yet. Supposedly the Yellow Registry will be there. I'll post further details when I get them.
