Anyone know what these are??

Anyone know what the heck these two plastic rings are?? They are around some tubing on the drivers side between the shock tower and the power brake assembly. They are loose and I can slide then around on the hose, but don't seem to fit anywhere.

Did an assembly worker throw these on as a joke??

They are left overs from the Factory Install of the AC.

They are on every Mustang and totally Useless.

Cut them off if they bother you, most owners have.
BTW;
Nice RIDE

I put mine back as best I could. If you want to keep it original don't cut em off. Some day in the future those will be extremely hard to find for the guy doing the restore.

If you remove them they probably weigh about .05 of a gram, which translates to about .000000001 better time in the 1/4 mi.

Funny you post this. Just last night I was working under the hood and saw those. And I was trying to figure out what they were.

Do NOT take those off. A buddy of mine took his off his 06 GT and the car handles like crap now. Weight balance is all off. If you look at the car from behind, the left side rides higher than the ride side now.

Obviously, those pieces are vital.

I've seen them on several Fords over the last few years, not just Mustangs. Best way to remove is with metric dike's (that's diagonal cutters).

Metric dikes? ****! I used standard. No wonder the car pulls to the right now. j/k

I've left them on, didn't really worry about it. If I every really care I'll cut them off.

Those aren't the flux capacitor integration rings (those are black as everyone knows ) these are the oscillation overthruster collimation adjustment rings
