Anyone know?

Does anyone know what the function of the two holes located near the map light overhead console do? I bought the car used(14K) so I'm not sure of all the options that are equiped. Thanks

EDITED.

Huh? Proofread please. Not bagging on you so do not take it wrong. It was just hard deciphering your post.

The map lights however are up on the roof line by the windshield.

See I was not sure if that is what he was asking or if he simply wanted to know the location of the Map Lights. Good to see someone deciphered it.

Sorry, I didn't proofread myself before posting. Listening to music doesn't help either.

Anyways, so those holes are motion sensors? Sorry for all the newb questions but what does that exactly do(how do they work). I know what motion sensors are. There a link somewhere. I've just always been curious

Put the window down, lock the car, give it some time and put your hand in the car. You will see if it is working. After that read the book if you got one. Proofread?? what is that. hahahaha

Did you get the owners manual with it? Read about the active alarm system. If you don't have the owners manual, PM me and I will send you a .pdf version of the 2005 manual.

Hey i am guilty of not proof reading at times also. So i understand. Also sometimes what we think in our heads does not come out the same way when we type it.

I'm a lazy college student that does enough to get by .

BTW, thanks everyone for answering my question. This is a perfect example of me being lazy. I've had the car 4-5months now and its now when I ask what those things are for. Go figure

I read the manual the first 2 days I had the car. It is amazing what you can learn in that thing! Seriously, there is a lot of really good info in there that you may never even know otherwise.

Here's an example. Did you know that you can disable the interior lock buttons whenever the alarm is set? Meaning, if the alarm is activated, the lock/unlock buttons on the doors are not functional. That way if you leave the window open or cracked, someone cannot just push the unlock button and disable the alarm. It is not set that way from the factory. Read the manual to find out how to do it.

In case you don't have them, download all your ford vehicle owners manuals (owners, maintenance, quick reference, warrantee) for free at:

Mine did come that way from the factory. They become disabled at the same time the motion sensors activate (about 20sec.).
