I just had this thought that maybe us New Englander's get together and buy our mustangs from the same dealer. That way we might be able to work some better pricing deals. I am still looking for a dealer that will honor the X-plan. I look forward to your ideas and comments. I think it would be pretty cool to walk into a dealership and say "hey you just sold 6 mustangs without having to do a thing".

That's so funny. I had the same exact idea when Paul C was asking about good dealers in the area yesterday. I'd be in, but I won't be purchasing until spring at the earliest.

That's a GREAT idea for those who can't use the X or A plan. I say go for it for those who are interested.

Your best bet for people to communicate that are interested is to have a STICKY created to forward every one to the REGIONAL CHAT section so every one can hook up and get the ball rolin on the group purchase!
How bout that for a run on sentence!!???

I'd do a group purchase if I could get my delivery delayed until April

Great idea! April to June is typically when Ford offers decent incentives on current model vehicles. If there are to be any on 05 models I suspect it won't be until then. I have been thinking of ordering a car for delivery around Feb but could wait till April. Add me to the group price list.

I used the Edmunds link to contact 3 dealers in NH. One showed enough interest to respond and tells me I am the first real live Mustang customer he's had. I told him I want to see some colors and drive a V6 when they arrive. He promised to ask the manager when to expect cars but made the point that he expects most will be pre-ordered so don't expect to drive one for a while. Pricing is likely to be an issue there too.

I'll be stopping by Gervais Ford on Saturday, hopefully to look at their newly arrived 05s. I'll ask if they'll have any interest in a block purchase in a few months.

That shouldn't be a problem. You walk into most stores right now and order 10+ units, you might be lucky if they all arrive by april. That is probably the only flaw in the plan, you are probably better off spreading the business out a little. One dealer may not be able to get enough allocation to fill all the orders.

Check with your employer, most likely they are a Ford supplier- that would qualify you for X plan pricing, if not, some employees that work for Ford can share X plan PINs
