Has anyone else lost the little insert that goes around the lock rod on the inside top of the door? I noticed this this morning, the drivers side is gone. I know it was lose, I tightened it once already and now it's gone.

Kevin, I'll be contacting you.

Are you talking about the plastic around the door lock pin?

Yup. Just took mine into the dealer and he's ordering a new one. I've had no issues with the shotgun side, but the driver's side grommet will never stay put even after I adjusted the pin so it wouldn't sit too low.

Interesting that others are having this issue. Could there be a TSB out there?

My Passenger side Lock grommet fell out while doing 100 +.
Luckly fell into the car, Found it on floor hours later.

I removed both and GOOPed the sides and reinserted.
GOOP doesn't show.
No more fall out problem.
They will be a little difficult to remove, if I have to.

My driver's side too... one of the plastic tabs shows some distress, like it was forcibly removed once... the dealership dude said they would probably have to order the entire door panel... I will have to get back to him on that...

I haven't had this problem, however the other day I did notice the little red reflector thing on the lower side of the door panel was missing. I'm wondering if it was ever there to start with

Mine was the passenger side. When I had new speakers installed it seemed to fix it. I guess the installers put the door panel back on better than the builders. Originally the lock pin would go below the trim piece. Then when you unlocked the door it would hit it and pop it off.

My passenger one kept popping off when I picked the car up. Fortunately, it fell inside the car. The door lock was too low so as it vibrates, it kept popping it off. We ended up raising the door lock and it resolved that one. A couple of weeks later, I was driving around with the windows down and lost the one on the driver's door.

Dealer ordered me a new one, under warranty. It took two weeks for it to come in from some supplier in Canada. Raised the door lock on the driver's side and haven't had a problem since.

Tried raising the door lock and that didn't help. You basically unscrew it to make it sit higher. Dealer is ordering a replacement piece for me so hope it works.

Ya'll don't happen to have a part number do you? Like I said, my dealer said they would probably have to order the entire door panel...

Mine is not there. I suspect its in a parts bin waiting to get put on my car when it gets built.

UPDATE:

Okay, the piece was still in the car. I found it in the back under the drivers seat. I've put it back on, but it's clearly not going to stay there. I will be working a solution, perhaps glue tomorrow. Piece also shows signs of duress, like the plastic snaps have been stressed.
