Has anyone noticed how large and visible the 2 mufflers are on the GT?? I hate the way that looks. It really makes the back end of the mustang look bad. In a few years those will begin to rust and look even worse!

I just think Ford should've done a better job hiding those mufflers. You should only see the exhaust pipes coming out the back and NOT the mufflers, like the 99-04 GTs.

This is my biggest beef with the new mustang. The mufflers just make the car look too clumsy. Other than that the car looks great.

Whip out the black paint, or replace them with Loudmouths, or round straight through mufflers like the FRPP/Borla/Magnapacks...etc.

Stainless steel is hard to rust, then again I live in California and we don’t salt the roads.

you are not the first and not the last to complain about them. Some of us have not liked them for over a year now. I know that is why I changed mine.

As with other options mentioned, Flowmasters are black. The chrome like finish 4" rolled tips are visible but the mufflers don't stand out.

Hmm now that you mention it, it does seem kind of annoying. But not really annoying to the fact of paying extra money to change them IMO.

Get some Flows. They're cheap, they're loud and they're black. I love mine.

I think Ford made them visible and ugly because they knew most enthusiasts were going to replace them anyway. The same way they made the intake held on by one bolt and one clamp.

Everybody who really cared was going to rip it out as soon as they could and put something better in.

i agree, reminds me of those imports. I'd just get pipes made that are slash cut so they look good but have no mufflers at all and have them chromed.

Go for the Magnaflows, the tips AND the mufflers are fully polished.

Every since I got my new Mustang, I thought the whole exhaust looked a little out of place.

Being able to see the mufflers would not have bothered me that much, but by the time it was just a couple weeks old, there were already streaky rusty looking places visible from behind on the mufflers.

The exhaust tips look nice themselves, but they do not fill the bumper cut-outs properly, and need a bigger thicker tip for the appropriate look, in my opinion.

I have the Flowmasters sitting here ready to be put on, so I think it will go a long way in improving the look of the rear.

I do not mind seeing some muffler. What I do want is an exceptional quality aftermarket set to put on the car. All three things together, Fit, Show Quality of the materials and workmanship and most of all the improvement of a Throathy Performance Sound. All of these in one package, does not seem to quiet be available to date.
