This thread ( http://forums.bradbarnett.net/index.php?showtopic=18748 ) has lots of idea's, but to me, they just arnt for the Mustang.

In my eyes, the Mustang shouldnt have all this high tech crap like GPS or a tire pressure monitor, or dual climate control.

Like I said in the thread mentioned, I want a Mustang with manual windows, locks, and steering. Where the only power accesory is the brakes. And who needs a radio when you have a earth shaking V-8 under the hood to listen to while you bang through the gears? And the back seats are completly useless, so, might as well toss those out! And A/C...blah. I lived in Texas for 21 years and while I had my BLACK Mustang GT, I never used the A/C. I just rolled down the windows and listened to that awsome 5.0 under the hood! Mmmmmm o/r h pipe and dumped flows

So I say we all get together, go down to Dearborn and tell the preisdent of Ford to give us back our V8 equiped LX that stripped to the bone of options!!! Whos with me!?

To a certain extent I do. I don't think many fancy options go well with a Mustang, but I also don't think it'd be very practical to have a new modern car without a few of the things we get standard.

Want planet do you live on? Your probably part of a 1% group that wants no features at all on the new mustang. Do you honestly believe that the new mustangs would be as successful as they are without the noted options? This forum at times is better than being at "Comedy Central!" No A/C on a hot prairie day and no tunes for hundreds of miles does not make this mustang fanatic a happy camper....Oops wait a minute I got it us mustang fanatics are not suppose to be happy right? Just a bunch of guys in muscle shirts, cutoffs, hats on backwards, smoke hanging out of our mouths drag racing every muscle car we see with zuped up motors right? Sorry but I do not fit that mould. I like the new mustang with all the options. I left my race days all I want is power thinking crap behind me a long time ago.

My question was initially being asked for AFTERMARKET accessories.

We have louvers, c scoops, hood scoops, slitters, intakes, Etc....

I wanted to know what would you like to see these aftermarket companies come up with that hasnt been available to us yet....

Somehow the posts got to be about what FORD should have or have not put pn the car.........which is all together a different subject....

I wish my drive was 45 minutes, not to say that it hasn't before :drive: and I have went 6 months or so w/o a radio. People tend to stare when the only music comin' from the car is YOU, at the top of your lungs, just a singin' away.

Corey, I think you are part of the minority. Not too many people want manual crank windows these days. Power steering has been around for a heck of a long time and you don't even want that. I say you forget about the 2005, get out of the forum and go and buy a classic instead of complaining about all of the great features of the new mustang. To each their own.

I'm with you adrenalin. Buy a classic. My 65 has crank windows, no AC, standard drum brakes, no power steering, no power door locks, no radio (need to work on that), no power mirrors. It does have an optional power top but that's about it.

I definately want a tire pressure monitoring system. Personally, I thought that should be one of the things that came with the Message Center.

Rumour has it, from my buddy working on the fanblade rims, that there will be a tire pressure system in the future stangs, but not in 2006.

Adrenalin, I would buy a classic in a heart beat, but a few things holding me back.

1: Not a suitable daily driver.

2: No garage, cant work on a vintage with no garage.

I personally think Mustangs for the most part should remain straight and clean. But, I want the additional toys of modern cars. I can't count the amoung of times were I've been driving down the highway and want my window down but can't because it's not power. In addition to that I don't like being baked in my car... 3 years w/o air conditioning is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy too long.

Too each their own but in this modern era where cars are much SAFER because of many of the power toys you want left out I'd prefer to have them in. Others are just convenience.

I think that is the great thing about the word options. Some people will want them, and they should have the option to get them. Those that don't, don't have to pay for the extras they don't want.

But, I do agree that Ford should not include them on all Mustangs and drive up the price for stuff we don't want.
