Mines not working either. I'll take it in next week and see if the "techs" can understand what you guys have posted. Any advice on what to tell them to look for?

Mine was the central junction box, which they ordered from the factory and replaced. Then they reprogramed the BCE module(whatever that is) they had to reprogram both of my key fobs, now both key fob and key locks work.

Thanks, srfan.
I'm having too much fun to take it in right now. I'm sure some warm weather will motivate me to take it in soon though.
Anyone one else?

No problem
I am just glad that they got it working and that it was nothing that was deactivated. I am sure it will come in handy during these hot Las Vegas summers!! I am having so much fun too, I look forward to everytime I get to drive it!! I just wish our gas prices were not $2.31 a gallon or probably drive it more!!

It is my daily too, but the gas prices sometimes makes me think about that extra trip to the store. Although it does not prevent me from driving it a little hard every once in awhile. Although I am getting about 19-20 miles per gallon, so I am really happy about that.

Called my dealer to ask if he had any cars with the Active Anti-Theft system and if he would go try the key fob. He did and did. He says the windows went down just fine.

Hope mine works when it arrives.

can someone help me please i feel both lost and stupid

first of all is there any other "alarm" you can get on these cars other then passive anti theft and active anti theft? the reason i ask is this

i have the active anti theft on my car(payed 200 bucks for it) and the window feature of course doesnt work and the build date was 2/16

i went by the dealership and they told me that when looking with some computer they kooked up to my car that my so called active anti theft doesnt even have that option avaliable much less have it deactivated

also the guy kept correcting my when i called it an alarm saying"you dont have an alarm its anti theft" which was ticking me off, anyway he tryed to tell me that he has been with ford for 6 years and when the factory puts a alarm or active anti theft there will be a light in the dash beside the stearing wheel and not just on the cluster

i know my motion sensors work and i know i payed for the active anti theft so what am i missing here

is there different levels of the active anti theft system??

sorry for the long post im just soooo lost and none of the dealers in houston have a clue whats going on

Sounds like your dealing with a dip shixxxxxxx. Go to another dealer. The brochure for mustang coupe, explains the active alarm system, take it, your invoice etc, window sticker and get it fixed. good luck

I'm not sure, but cracking the VIN should tell them wether the car is equipped w/ said Acitive-Anti-Theft?... Bueller, Bueller,...anyone...

Also, the mere fact that you are able to trigger the "Break-in" alarm by sticking a hand in the cabin indicates it is equipped with the alleged AAF....

Anyway, I had the same problem way back in January when I first took delivery on the car (built Dec 16 2004).. This was not a well known problem at the time so it took a couple of days and factory tech assists to figure out... Anyway it know works as expected....

Ask for a second opinion from a different Service Advisor in your dealership and or ask to speak with the Service Manager...

Well just like many, my gt came with the global window feature deactivated. They had no problem talking to the hotline tho. They just explained how they reactivate it. I was thinking maybe its an issue there having with them while being shipped they are worried about. Like on a rail car or something, possibly going down and ruining interior of car. They had it done in less than an hour.

Mine went to the dealer a couple of weeks ago and all they did was hook up the car to the computer and enable the feature. Both the door key cylinder and the key FOB features are working now.

Took mine to the dealer back on 3/17. At first, they told me there's no Global Open feature on the 2005 Mustang, with or without the Active Anti-Theft option, which mine has. When I insisted there is such a feature, they called their tech line. They say they provided my VIN and were told that my vehicle is simply not equipped with this feature. I too am really pissed Please someone help

Well I just ordered last night... and I'll be very disapointed if my global down doesn't work.

Hey Quags, where are you at? Maybe I'll have to roadtrip to your dealer.

Maybe we should start a list of dealers that have the magic wand that reactivates the global down feature.
