Hey does your guys’ cd deck make random strange scanning noises when it’s turned off and a cd is in it. I notice it a lot when I’m driving and the windows are up and iut’s quite, the thing sounds like it scans for discs constantly or the cd motor is whirring, and when I accelerate or slight movements in the car trigger the thing to scan.

 

Mine doesn't do that. Try holding down the 3 & 6 pre-set buttons while it's in FM mode, it will go through a set of diagnostics and maybe find something.

 

I have the Shaker 1000, but it looks like the same head unit other than the Shaker 500 or Shaker 1000 marking. I can't say that I have noticed anything like that with my unit.
