I bought my Silver GT off a showroom floor on January 3rd. It had been there for three weeks and was the only 2005 Mustang they had.
In a phone conversation with the internet sales manager, I asked if they had it marked up from MSRP. He's says "$2000 over". I say "No". Ten minutes later, he calls back and says, "MSRP?" I say "Yes". Three hours later it's in my driveway.
I've never paid list for a car before, but I didn't mind on this one. I think it's worth what they want for it for once. I could have ordered at invoice, but I was a "gottahaveitnow!" guy on this one.
I think many people are intimidated by "marked up" vehicles, especially if it sitting front and center on the showroom floor. I you have to do is ask. Worked for me!

or Florida, plus you don't have Cali's crazy taxes, cost of living, or insane environmental laws.

I've seen a couple of v6's sitting on the lots, but no GT's around here.

I'm in Rockford. Bought quite a few vehicles from Manley Motors over the years. Are you in Belvidere? I bought my GT from Rockford this time around. I sort of go back and forth, however I feel at the time when I go shopping for vehicles. Mine was the first GT in the Rockford area last October, and the local paper did a decent article in their paper about the Mustang history and photos of me with mine. Last week, they did another piece about the ten best cars in 2004, and had the picture they did with mine again in that article. Just yesterday, some guys while waiting at an intersection asked if I was the guy in the paper. I still get lots of attention on the streets driving this around.

What options are you getting with your Black V-6? We also have a Redfire V-6 with automatic transmission. It goes very good, and we have been totally satisfied with it also. It handles better in the snow we have had lately, than my GT. Could be the different tires and not as much weight over the front end. Be sure to post yours when you get it.
