Amazed With My Car Again

well im amazed with my car again...... im driving home from the country club played a great game i felt good and i wanted to get on my car cause its been a while since ive stretched her out....... well anyways doing about 55-60mph bang 3rd gear and its PULLING HARD like ive never felt...... i bang fourth rev it out to about 130mph and let off........ it was a rush like it was a new car and it felt like it cleaned it self out from sitting and not opening her up....... plus its like 60 degrees outside compared to 90 so i bet that made a huge difference..... but anyways im amazed with my car again and i might get a tune and intake now...... maybe........ anyways sorry for the long post i just figured i would share

Up here we get a lot of cold air.
I dynoed mine at 52 degrees with just my K&N and a custom tune I got 298 RWHP.

Tune and intake will make a huge diff, it will pull like that in every gear starting around 1500 RPMs and it wakes the exhaust up.

the money i have to spend ive saved for somthing i want and need.....
1 is my motorcycle license
2 is a panhard bar
3 is my tune and intake

my bike license is $240
panhard is about $110

looks like a nice panhard bar, although i personally would buy one from a dealer so I had a warranty, unless you found one on ebay significantly cheaper. By the time you pay for shipping you will be about the same price or even more expensive as for example some of the pan hard bars that brenspeed sells (free shipping).

As far as intake goes, the cheapest deal i found was tillmanspeed. I got a JLT2 (vapor color coated) and sct3 for under 540 with sales tax and shipping. Brenspeed is about 10-20$ higher.

Slap a supercharger on that bad boy and you'll need to change your shorts. hahah. There is just something about going 0 to 60 in less than 3 seconds, and 0 to 100mph in under 7 seconds, that makes me smile every time.

Is it my imagination or do these 3V 4.6 engines like the cool, crisp Fall air? I swear she felt "peppier" this morning. It was about 28 degrees on the drive to the gym this morning.

ALL internal combustion engines like cool dry air... it's just physics. Dense air = more power.

They do like it when it's breathing cold air they run so smooth and purrs so pretty it's no wonder I have so many klicks on it , Now if we can have Victor Freeze make a divice to provide cold air @ the intake ! Just Think !

Maybe rig up a liquid oxygen tank..... similar to a nitrous setup

I agree. It was in the 60's when I was out driving I could not get the car to hook through 1st, 2nd, 3rd. By that time I let out. Feels like a completely different car. I just can't get it to hook. Time to take the drag radials to spin world

I have to agree. It was nice and cool in Vegas coming home from work yesterday morning and I was needing a pep so I drove her hard. No traction clear through 2nd and all I can say is thank god for traction control on one of the corners. (Outskirts of town, no houses or anything around) When it's 100+ I'm lucky to get a decent second gear scratch and corners are no problem at 3/4 throttle. Not so much now that it's cooling off. This time last year I had just got her so I was babying so this is a whole new car to me now!!!

I agree that the cooler air works wonders on these small engines. The minute you're down around say 45 or so and it definitely wakes them up.
