Am i wanting too much?

I got an 06' that's okay, but what I want for the future of the car may be too much. In a rundown I want a 650 horsepower with no roll cage and street able. Money (to an extent) may not be an issue. Now what I want for the car is a kenne bell 2.8 mammoth, promar engines forged long block, and Tremec trans. Would this be possible to get 650 REAR WHEEL HP out of the car? Any advice would help.

650 with a KB and forged block should be easily doable. Just remember that it will never be worth the money you sink into it to anybody else but you. If you plan on keeping the car for a really long time then go for it. A lot of people buy them, build them up, want a different one and take a loss. It's all up to what you want. That's at least a $10-12k list of upgrades. Make sure it's not worth upgrading cars. 650hp in a used Shelby is really easy to achieve.

So slightly built Shelby would be a cheaper upgrade.

Totally!
Maybe an 08
I think you still need a TVS to get there. We are taking HP to wheels I'd imagine.

Oh and a clutch.

Can still do it with a stegmeier port job. Shop around and find one with the upgrades already done.

Won't you need to upgrade the suspension and the brakes also?

Yeah I already have slotted rotors and suspension and supporting mods, I added in the super charger, the tranny and the block with instal and shipping, as well as fuel exhaust, lower and upper control arms, a ram double disk clutch, sparks plugs, injectors, I mean everything. It's more like over 20k buddy lol

Buy a used shelby. Stop while you're ahead.

You're looking at about $30-35k for a really nice new used one. Shop for one with some good mods because you really don't pay extra for mods. When I was shopping for my car I searched until I found one modded the way I wanted to do it anyways. Made life a lot easier and cheaper.

Well I would have felt wrong chopping up a bone stock anniversary terminator so I went for one that was already far from stock. It came with receipts for almost $20k in upgrades also so it was a deal in my eyes.

I bought my 10' Gt. with cams cai and the supporting tune for 24 grand shouldn't be hard to find a Shelby already modded at a decent price
