I tell ya, I have never owned a car that is such a work of art. The love that people have shown it is amazing! But it is not just the grown-up that show the reaction to the 05. But, the kids that show the most reaction. Its great seeing the from the kids.

You speak as if you're an old timer referring to the whipper-snappers.

When you say kids, do you means kids or teens or both? I'm 27 and have 2 kids; almost 5 y.o. and 14 months. My daughter loves them, my son's too young to care.

Well mustangfreak (Corey) I am ready to take my flamings here with you, since I agree with you to a point. Also I feel for you since I grew up in ND, and know how miserable the winters are!
Please don't get me wrong, I LOVE the Mustang, every mustang (even mustang II) There are ALOT of things I like about the 05 however... I am a bit disappointed with the hood area of the car, and I have not been really too impressed so far with the aftermarket options which IMO look too bolted on. I am really hpoing that they will create a hood similar to the concept. Maybe it's just me though.

K, well... Grew up around them... Grandma had a Spirit (I think thats what they were called?) Dad had a MachI fast back. I had a 99 GT, and now have my 05. I love Mustangs. There was a time when I thought they were ugly as all get out, but she sure is aging well!

Having seen the new Saleen in person, I gotta say, blech. Its pretty nice in the pics, but it just didnt get me weak in the knees like I wanted it to. I am going to have to mod mine to get it perfect, and its going to take at least three different aftermarket companies to make it right.

The love affair with a Mustang is something you feel in your gut. Its not something one can teach, or learn. Its that feeling when you see it, that you must touch it. then you sit in it, and it embraces you like a long lost lover. Turn over the engine and you get goosebumps. Driving it is a perfect dance. Car and driver are one, each anticipating the others next move.

Darn it, now I am going to end up gone all day driving!

Its no wonder my husband is willing to sell his soul to buy me the Mustang of my dreams, LMAO!

I love the Mustang how it is, and all the advancments it has. For me the mufflers showing is my ONLY minor gripe, but it's a quick fix.

Actually I have to kinda agree with Corey. I like the new Stang but there is just something about it that keeps me from loving it. Even though I have one on order & actually it's shipped by convey & is a week overdue. But I am sure that in time it will grew on me & I will come to love it. I just am not there yet.

Anyway. Just wnated MustangFreak to know that he is not alone. There are others out there too that aren't wild about the car's styling. Just not many of them can be found on this site. So maybe it will grow on you in time. And by 07 you will love the car enough to order one.

Cheers

Personally I think the hood is a lot better than the previous generation. No fake hood scoops.

I agree 100%. I love the clean looking hood with no phoney plastic hood scoops.
I've loved Mustangs for quite a while but this Mustang is in the same league as the original Stangs of the 60's. It puts all the model's in between to shame. Period. If you don't love this car then Mustangs just aren't your cup of tea I guess. Not that there's anything wrong with that, to each their own. I'd be interested in knowing which model years did you like as far as styling goes. You must not have liked the 60's Stangs. 80's perhaps?

I actually haven't warmed up to the front of the new Mustang either. Its to clumsy looking, IMO. I've seen them both in person and in pictures and I do have to admit they look better in person but there is still a lot I would change.

Honestly I can't say, style-wise, that the 2005 is better looking than 2004. Its just different. Honestly someday I would like to have an 07 Saleen next to my 01 Roush

This is one of the dumbest thing I have ever heard. The Mustang has evolved so much over the years -- who are you to tell someone that beause they don't like one of those models they don't like Mustangs at all. I don't think FOX owners or SN95 owners or Mustang II owners would agree that their Mustang is now shameful. :notnice:

It's not what I meant. I'm not trying to say if you have a Mustang that's not an 05 or in the 60's that you should be ashamed or something. I still love some late 80's models myself. I was just giving my own strong opinion that the 05 is in a different ballpark than the others. I've owned a 98 and an 01 and loved them both but while owning them I've always craved more. This new Mustang has satisfied all cravings for me.

One thing I was trying to say was the fact that the majority of Mustang lovers love the original 60's styling first and foremost. I think it's hard to argue that the new Mustang resembles the 60's Mustangs more so than any other model. So why wouldn't you have love for the 05? I'm not saying you have to. I'm just curious why you wouldn't.

Saleen Hobo,

When you say hiney, do you mean hiney, or hiney. Beacuase anytime you type hiney in this forum, you end up with hiney. So I'm not sure if you meant hiney or hiney. Please clarify hiney or hiney.

Thanks
