What's this about scratching it? You all drive with big cactusses next to you? I can't see how I could scratch it. Don't wash it with an iron sponge that's all.

Will have to live with the aluminum dash if deselecting means also deleting two important gauges. I do not know what you folks mean by must have. It is only a cosmetic piece. For myself, must have is V8/Manual trans/RWD & genuine high-performance vehicle. Again, you can enjoy what you prefer since you are paying for it. Do not cast aspersions on my preferences. (And I will not do so on yours)

Already got my Fuzzy Dice...

The Alum should be a lot easier to keep clean than the vinyl, and yeah, it is a must have

Haha! Forgot about fuzzy dice! I think I'm going to have to get some red ones to compliment the red leather.

B) If it gets scratced from cleaning w/00 you can get anodized at any quality aluminum plating house. Should be easy to remove/replace inserts and anodizing colors now available should please anyone. Recently saw anodized door panels done like tiger stripes; weird and definately not my taste but just shows what can be accomplished.

I order the aluminum on mine without hesitation. Think it looks sharp. I think the vinyl looks cheap & ugly. As long as they don't scratch it during assembly I'll be happy.

OK, i too am in the minority. I hate bright finishes on car parts and other electronic items like cell phones, stereo equipment, and TVs. I think Black finishes blend better, look more expensive, and draw less attention. However, I can tolerate the cheap-looking chrome trim rings around the gauges.

I'm seriously thinking about ordering the car minus the my color option, even though you don't gain the extra gauges. I just want to test drive the car before putting in an order.
