Are all 05-10 Mustang GTs 4.6L Engines made in the USA?
I heard that supposedly all, 05-10 Mustang Gts 4.6L engines were / are made in the USA along with the automatic/ manual transmissions. Is this true. How can I verify that this is accurate. USA engine and tranny would be awesome. I heard that if there is the letter W in seventh position on VIN number this means USA, Romeo Michigan, true? Please give me the straight. Thanks, Ger.

The 4.6L engines were produced in Romeo, MI. The TR3650 5-speed manual transmissions were manufactured in Mexico, and the 5R55S 5-speed automatic transmissions were made in France.

Would be nice if they could make the TR6060 the standard transmission across the board or the newer TR6070 with the first six ratios selected to maximize acceleration and speed.
Although I know people don't really care for who notchy and noisy Tremecs can be. Small price IMO for all that torque capacity.
