Did you lose it while at home, work, at a mall somewhere?

do yourself a favor and buy a blank factory ford key on ebay for cheap. Then go have your key cut at a locksmith. Then in your manual I believe it tells you how to program the key to your car.

This should save you a bunch of money instead of having a dealer cut it.

i think you need both keys to program another one......not sure but i am almost sure.........i would look high and low for that key otherwise it will be very costly....about $1000.00 to say $2000......this including door, trunk and ignition plus the computer that goes with that set....i hope you find it.................

You DO need both original keys to program a spare. You can do it yourself. The instructions are in the owners manual.
Getting a key from the dealer will cost you at least $80 plus what they charge to program it. And as stated above, replacing all the locks will cost $$

If you need the dealer to cut the key and program the car to accept the key expect to be spending between $100 and $150 at your dealership. The cost of cutting the key is almost tolerable... having the dealer program it into the onboard computer isn't!

Yes you need 2 keys that have already been programmed to the car . If you only have one key you have no other choice but have to the dealer do it . I would recommend having a total of 3 keys for a car just if you lose 1 you still have 2 keys and can program another your self , Hope this helps

PS: once the dealer programs the keys the lost key if found will not start the car , but they still can open doors and trunk

With both original keys it is half the price if there is only one
IMHO it is a rippoff but at least My dealer let me make the choice. I choose to wait to see if I loose one, WOW i live on the edge

Maybe someone found it and they are waiting for the right time to take your car. You better check under and between the seats with a MAG LIGHT and All the places you might have placed it. I lost a key for months and one day while looking for something else and I saw the key just where I had placed it. Now when I put the cars in the garage I put the key in the cup holder.

Once you get another programed key the orginal will not work unless it is reprogramed with the two working ones. You have to program all the keys at the same time every time you add another key.

Btw the key blank itself should cost about 25-30 bucks, about $100 bucks at the most including one key and the time to program it.
