I'm 47, this is my pre-retirement treat to myself and an incentive to continue going to work for the next eight years. The first car I ever owned was a '70 Mustang when I was 17, seems like yesterday.

42 here...My first car was a 74 Torino...traded it straight across for a '70 Mustang FB. The guy just had a kid and wanted a bigger car. He said it was a 302/std. First thing I did was buy headers for it...kids....anyway I couldn't get them to fit no matter what I did. I tried for days!! Got P.O'd so I took it to a Ford dealer. Turns out it was a BOSS 302. It had been painted flat black over the whole car...rust and all. Body was it tough shape. We rebuilt the whole car in 1980...Man that was a fun car. Had to sell it though in '85...needed the $$$. The guy that bought it wrapped it around a pole a week later

Why would u have 14 on the list? From my knowledge you can't get a license until at least 16 in some parts of the country.

Bruce I love it. I feel 25 when I get in that red seat, turn that key hear the 4.6 light up and turn on the CD with some good old rock and roll like Jerry Lee and Bill Haley That shaves off forty years in a flash!!! By the way younger Guys and Gals we could not have one of these in the 60s as we were too busy raising you people and had NO COINS to spare. Now that we are older we ain't gona leave you all the money. We are goin to have some fun too before its too late.

For you children that have made it in the world go buy your MOM or DAD a GT. The smile is worth every cent.
I`m 56 My 3rd Mustang

That's because alot of us started driving before the age limits!
My first legal drive was a 66 Mustang in 1966 (Dads) But was driving about a 1 1/2 before that, till I got caught. The cops said to get lic. before I see the man and that's how I got my lic. When I think about it now, I did a bad thing and got rewarded! Lucky to have had real understanding parents.
I'm now 55 and have a 05 Mustang GT, but can't see myself letting my kids drive it. I really don't know how my Dad did it! Letting me drive and giving me his 66 and 69 Mustang! What a guy!
Happy Trails!!!

I'm 38, second Mustang. First at 35. Wife thinks I'm regressing she saw the "FFW Muscle Mustangs" decal on the windshield and said " How are old you anyway?" Oh well.

Your only as old as you feel and I feel 18 when I drive this GT.
My first Mustang was a '68 convert which I still have, Next an '86 vert, an '87 vert, a '99 cpe, an '01 vert and now an '05 GT. The last is definitely the best and it will be a "keeper".
Ask Carrol Shelby if he thinks he shoudn't be driving 'cuz he's over 70!!!

40 and first Mustang. My dad had a 69 grande (nice interior but no power),,,all I remember was the dash, which has come back in this 05.
This 05 GT is definitely by far the best ride I ever owned. Other jokes, I mean rides, included 70 nova, 72 buick centry, 92 blazer (piece of poo even new), 88 colt (feather weight), 97 F-150 (still own), others.

41 will be 42 when my 06 finally gets here (hopefully).

My first Mustang was a 65 Coupe I bought for $1,300 when I was 16 with my own money. I sold it when I was 25 because my baby girl (now 16 and pleading for her own car) was born and I needed the $$$$$.

As for spoiled kids I have a similar agreement with my daughter that my Dad made with me. I am giving her my 2002 Honda CR-V. I pay gas and insurance but she works part time after school and during the summers and I keep the $$$ to off set the costs. Its not 1980 anymore and cars, gas and insurance are much more than a 17 year old could ever afford without working so much it will negatively effect her schoolwork.

My 13 year old son thinks I will pass my Stang on to him....I don't have the heart to tell him its wishful thinking. This is my midlife crisis car and I am never giving her up!!!!!

I'm 24 and it's my first Mustang ever. I hope later in life I can take some shop classes and buy an old 69 BOSS and restore it.

42 here, although as Tiger Woods said, "You only grow up once, but you can be young forever." Or something like that.

But this is the car I've been waiting for for the last thirty years, and I plan on enjoying it for a very long time!

I'm 33 and this is my first Mustang. Unless you count all the hubcaps and gas caps I took when I was 5 from our neighbors Mustang!
