OK We all have seen what roush and saleen have to offer. To tell ya the truth I wouldn't spend the $$$ on either. I have owned 5 muzzys and only bought an after market body kit for my 89 gt, so I'm not up to date on new companies.
My question is ,besides shindowa( I think they are a joke) What other aftermaket companies can we expect an 05 muzzy kit from.
This is a great opportunity for other companies to give us all some thing that is both tastefull and agressive. I want aftermarket parts that are NOT gonna cheapen the look of the car.
This mustang might not need much to make a BIG appearance improvement. Some times less is more.

Muzzy sounds like something they'd call it Down Under. They call mosquitoes (sp?) "mozzies", and their city Brisbane is "Brizzy"

The term "muzzy" has been around for ever. I'm surprised that you guys have not heard it before. I guess it sounds Austrailian but the term is what I grew up with. Sorry to offend!!
Can we get back to the real subject here???

..... or ricer! Here is the telling question.....then we'll know.

Does your car have wheels or rims?

I have been around Mustangs as long as there have been Mustangs and I have never heard that term.

better to buy a GT and buy the parts, save you at least 3-5 grand, depending on what you get....

I agree, there is definite oppurtunity for the company that gets it right. I have owned a Saleen 1996 which i loved the looks of and was anxiously awaiting the pictures of thier new car. I really do not like their design and don't like the Roush design also. I really think that when everyone was posting the photoshops about a month ago with the Ducktail and more agressive hood, I think they called it a Shelby gt500 photoshop and they did the car in all kinds of colors was the best. This is a classic looking mustang and that's the kind of body kit that it needs. Saleen and Roush tried to take the classic look and make it futuristic whcih doesn't seem to work in my opinion!

Muzzy.....? My dad had a '68 Mustang back around 1972 and he would
call it the Mouse or the Moose but never a Muzzy. That just sounds
gay (the old non-sexual defintion) and not, er, uh, hmmmph, MANLY!

You might give a neon or a VW 'bug' a cute little name but not the
'Stang. The good news is I'm sure you can get a variation of muzzy on
a license plate more easily than stang or a variation.

What was this topic about? Oh yeah....just let me know who will sell
the concept style hood? That will look great and people will like it.

A real expensive change will be the GT-R front or concept front as
well. I like those mods because they are not tack-ons but full
swaps.

Hey...I don't think their is anything wrong with calling our beloved mustang the "muzzy." I just get lazy sometimes to call it "the mustang" so I find this as another nickname to call my "stang".

Now back to the topic.....there seems to be quite a few aftermarket co's making kits. If you really want to add some flair, I'd say go with the eleanor kit, it's the only one that appeals to me the most. Though the saleen is actually starting to entice me a bit.

I'm still up in the air on wether to go the Saleen route or stock GT + aftermarket parts. The reason most people buy a Saleen or Roush is that you can finance the entire car and make monthy payments. If you buy a GT, all the upgrades will be 100% out of pocket. Another plus is the resale value of the tuner cars will remain high. It's VERY tough to recoup the value of your aftermarket parts if you decide to sell or trade in. Then again, I wasn't too happy with the quality of my 2001 Saleen so we'll see.

ps. In my 30+ years I have never heard the term "muzzy"

I prefer "Tango" or just "Stang"
"Muzzy" is lame, but feel free to call your pony whatever you want

I've only owned 1 Mustang (well 2 if you want to be completely technical but I never considered the '77 to be a real Mustang) and I never heard Muzzy either.

Anyway I think Cervini's Eleanor would be the only kit I would consider, but the 2005 is so purty I'm afraid to do much. To be honest odds are all I will do is get a GT with spoiler delete, put 19x9.5's on the rear 18x9's up front, add rally stripes, and maybe do the 1/4 window louvers and the ducktail.

The car is just too dang close to perfect as is - well except for those bigger than life grill inserted foglights. They have got to go!
