Nothing huge but obviously the aftermarket has already had a good look (and measure) of the new 2005 mustang.

Check this out: Measuring Session Correspondence

Thanks.... Just decided to do some random searching.

I sent the SEMA organizers an e-mail also asking if they new of any special editions of the Ford Mustang being released at this years show (not that they'll tell me but eh, worth a shot)

Googled Ford Mustang SEMA....or something like that, then followed a set of links off the SEMA site....then some links under Ford heading and presto.

Used to do random searches all the time after the concepts were released. Pays off sometimes.....

I guess we can expect mods to show up quickly for this car, just like Ford said. I think it should be easy to get aftermarket rims, exhaust, and some early bolt on parts right off the bat now.

You're going to see a whole bunch at SEMA IMO.

Hopefully we'll see a special edition also!

I've mentioned this before, but, it was a long time ago. Maybe some new people haven't read it.

I was at Kenny Brown's shop last July. I met Kenny himself. He and I were talking about the current '03 Cobra vs waiting on the new body. He told me had already seen the new one and done some work on it. He wouldn't (couldn't) give any details. So, some of the aftermarket people were working on this a year ago.

I wondered if the big names like Roush, Saleen, Steeda, etc. Had a lot of advance info on these things.

Somebody (not Kenny) at the shop told me they (roush and Saleen) were at the same events. It sounded like they were helping with design issues (like suspension geometry).

The overall dimensions are..

I am thinking more along the lines of where the mounting holes are on body panels, etc. etc.

I talked to Saleen about 2 months ago, they told me they had a people in Detroit working on one of the cars (measurements/mock ups) for aftermarket mods. So ya they expect to be ready by Sept./Oct. They told me to call back in July/August for more info.
