Aftermarket gauge problem or something else?
I've been noticing this recently and it's starting to concern me, my oil pressure gauge needle twitches between 55-60psi at startup and at cruising speed around 60mph.. at idle it's steady and doesn't move until I start moving. Is the gauge starting to flake out or is it something else like the oil pump acting up?? The gauge is an autometer (mechanical) and is about 3 years old. Could it be a sending unit in need of replacing? I'm worried of losing all oil pressure if it's a pump...thanks!!
