You are gong to have to change the wheels at least to get the big brakes. Wheels or spacers, and I wouldn't do spacers.

The easy option would be a set of GT500 takeoff wheels. You can use the tires you have now and put them on the new wheels. However I don't care for the look of the '07-'09 GT500 stock wheels. They are a 18x9.5 wheel and your current tires will fit on them even staggered as is.

Bigger brakes are only necessary if you plan on driving your car unwisely. My gt is supercharged and I haven't felt the need to modify anything (yet) other than my suspension and tires.

I agree, do the engine mod and enjoy. You can upgrade the brakes later if you feel you need it.

I would get Hawk pads & SS brake lines and use your stock brakes.

2nded.

Pads, lines, rotors should be more than enough unless you're planning on some serious track duty.

+1

If you're really wanting to do some sort of brake upgrade to your car Ralph, this would definitely be a good way to go without having to spend allot of money....and from what I've heard, you should really feel the difference with these items.
