Why is it always the crapiest cars that hit the nice cars? I'll never understand it!

Jaco, your car looks AWESOME with that bumper. I have a question? Does the bottom part between the pipes come flat black, or did your body shop have to paint it black? My goal is to paint everything to match, and have the stripes go into the fins below the plate opening. I need to see what the bumper looks like before it gets painted.

I don't think this is accurate. Plenty of folks in "nice" cars cause accidents too.

And people with nice cars who are hit are far more likely to post the details on car forums.

Glad you're OK, Jeff. Stuff can be fixed or replaced. Tougher with people.

Your car will be 'back in shape' in no time.

Where'd this guy get his driver's license? Inside a Cracker Jack box?

Sorry...sometimes 'subtlety' doesn't work well in print. And I'm sure we've BOTH read more absurd stuff then that where the poster was NOT kidding, eh?

Glad you were not hurt. But when given lemons, make lemonade
Hope you get the GT/CS rear end.

Thanks Dave. I sent another back your way. Got more questions about the bumpers and the textured part.

Sorry to see this happen to you. The GT/CS bumper is really nice. I vote for leaving the bottom part flat black and ending your stripes right above it.

Whatever you choose, let us know, and best of luck with your repairs.

Perhaps you could change out the exhaust to the Shelby GT one?

I've decided to do the stripes to the black part and end them, just like a Shelby GT. As for the exhaust, nothing will EVER replace my Borla axle-backs. They will sound even better once I get my ARH L/T's in a few weeks.

Thanks dude. I'm still bummed, as I won't have it back for another week, but yes, at least I didn't get hurt.

Ya know Jeff I neever actually realized the textured part wraps around the entire lower portion of the bumper cover and there is a defining line between the exhaust cutouts, so to paint it would be ok!!

I'm in the same boat, but so far I haven't gotten any pricing for the GT/CS bumper cover or an estimate on the paint. Where's the best place to get it painted? The stealership or a private shop?

I might kick it out of frustration or cut more holes into the current bumper cover seeing how it is FUBAR'd anyhow. Or I might just drive it as-is with the damage.
