I noticed the anti-theft is $295 for '06, a $40 increase from the 05's $255. Ford wouldn't remove a feature then charge more now would they? :nono:

 

Why wouldn't they? I agree, they should have lowered the price of the option since all you get is an alarm, be cheaper and probably better to go aftermarket.

 

where did you find these prices? Fordvehicles.com still shows the 05, even though the production run ended last week.

 

My dealer showed me the DORA for a fully optioned '06 that another customer had ordered. The active anti-theft jumped out at me because I remember reading here that the global feature was deactivated mid-year. I feel Ford should have lowered the price if anything.

 

oh no, not another topic on this. The global feature probably only costs FORD $10.00 if that. Most likely less.
