6 disc changer question
#22
I'm going to remove that head unit and replace it with a Alpine 7" screed/DVD/MP3 player. That way I can put in 4.7GB discs full of music. No need to change the disc that way and a lot more features.

how much is something like that going to cost you? my biggest concern is the asthetics. i think the stock player, despite lack of overall design appeal, fits the car. it's flush mounted to the center console...and doesn't stick out like most installed stereos. (usually due to a f*ugly instillation kit imo).
besides, 1200 mp3s is a ton. that's approx. 6000 minutes of music. roughly 100 hours, or a little over 4 days of never hearing the same song twice. also, 6 regualr CD's at 700mb a piece = 4.2 GB. which is the size of the 1 DVD disk. just out of curiosity...do you actually have 28 gigs of mp3's? if you do that's a ton of music. but i guess if you want it all at once...why not.
i guess the ability to watch a movie in the car would be cool for a passenger. but i think the driving experience is going to be pleasure enough for me. oh...and having hot babes in the car.
