Hey there just had an interesting night and thought I would share with the rest of you. My wife and I decided to go to Wendys after a local car show tonight only to find 5 state troopers eating inside. Just for kicks we ate our meal and waited to see what happens when they go outside.
Finally after some time the troopers go outside and without saying anything they ALL walk straight to my stang. My wife says to them "dont get any ideas" and then they all started to laugh. They wanted to peek inside and under the hood I told'em no problem. They then wanted me to start my stang up and they all loved the SLP Loudmouth exhaust.
My wife told them that if they see us out and about to just look the other way and all five of them said that they would.
So after spending some time with them in the parking lot with my hood up and onlookers walking by at Wendys we shook hands and started to go our own way.
To my surprise as I left to go home the Troopers started to follow me and one of them got next to me and started to RACE so I sped up a bit and then let off the gas as I did he hit his siren like for 2 seconds and then went on.

Sorry if this was too long I just had to share this experience.

ps they all loved my Radar dectector as well.LOL

Now that is a good one,i have had troopers looking at my stang but just one at a time.That is what i call a good night!

Glad to see everyone is enjoying the Mustang. I saw an 04 black GT here in CT on Friday in the Litchfield county area. It was a beautiful car. But no one was driving fast there that I saw.

 

LOL I understand when the one trooper pulled up next to me and started to rev up I was like here we go. There was part of me waiting to still get pulled over or something .
The biggest thing I wish I had was my camera. I allmost always carry a digital camera with me and didnt that night because I just got off work came home and jumped in the car and went to the car show.

 

That's awesome Perry. I miss the Florida cops. I was at Starbucks a couple months ago and got crap for having my hood up... "Gotta put the hood down... this isn't a car show." WTF???

We do have some cool troopers... then we have the power hungry ones that pull you over for "speeding" while stopped in a traffic jam....... right Whitt?

 

I graduated high school in Mississippi!!

 

They were prolly happy to see some real muscle. My parents have a time-share in Orlando and it seems like all I see around there is tons of rice.

 

My aunt had a similar experience in the early '90's. She had one of the very first 300ZX's with the last body shape that car had. Probably partially because she lived on the outskirts of Motown, she found herself being pulled over on several occasions by police officers who simply wanted to see her car up close. And all of this for a woman who owned a lot of Z-cars and even a '67 Camaro at one point and yet never once drove over the speed limit...

 

Unfortunately that's what would happen here in Denver, too.

 

I am from Orlando and it wasn't until recently that I moved, but for the most part you are correct. Although downtown on Sat. nights brings it's fair share of Real American Muscle; i.e. Viper R/T 10, 03/04 Cobra, etc you get the idea.
