4k? What would you do?

Alright... I'm moving off Campus for the following year and well my Award Letter says they are going to give me $4245... so... that being said, I thought about putting the money in the bank and saving it for a rainy day... possibly buy me a new motorcycle or a good four-wheeling jeep... then... you have the mustang... It seems to be my pride in joy... even when things in life aren't going right.. you can always go sit in the mustang take a nice little drive and your problems evade you. Alright, So let me know what you would do or think I should do... Save it... Motorcycle or Jeep... Parts for the car? Alright post if you want to, but I would really appreciate it if you would give some input on what type of parts I should get for it... I already have Dual Exhaust (Flowmaster A/T)...(Billet Grille)...(CAI)...(BrenSpeed Tune)... I kinda was thinking a mix between performance & accessories(interior & exterior)... but then also thought about strickly one or the other... oh boy...

Spend some, but save most.

You never know when you are going to need it...

Now that being said, rims and tires are always nice. A good set of wheels will give your car good looks and may even make it handle better.

Save some....

Being old, I may also be a little conservative. I just retired after 44 years. I was paid for all of my unused leave. I took $1000. for fun stuff for the Mustang and put the rest in a Money Market account. Besides what's the rush. If you never need it, you can always use later, but with interest!

Enjoy! Life is too short.

I don't understand what you mean that you were "awarded" money for "moving off campus."

Come to TN and buy my motorcycle with it. That would cover the majority of what I'm asking for my sport bike.

Kind of funny you pick $4000. I have a little more than $4k for spending money, and I plan on getting headers and a tune for them, and saving the rest.

Well I would save another thousand or so and get yourself a supercharger but thats just me, You can get the saleen etc for just over 5k. So hold tight and save up for the best mod of all. Good luck

When all is said and done, you're probably looking at $6500. The cheapest supercharger you can get is the Paxton...you could probably spend slightly more than $5000 to get it tuned right, etc.

Since I'm young like he is, I'm going simple bolt-ons for now and waiting until I have more money saved up until I go for a blower. It's also good to have another $5000 in case you blow something up.

a nice suspension kit like the frpp kit will lower the ride to make it look better and improve handling so it becomes both appearance and performance mod
