Nope, that stuff is crap IMO. I'm glad to hear everything worked out OK for you. Of course it'd be better if it never happened, but it could've been a whole lot worse. Hope the car's trouble free when you get it back!

Glad to hear you getting somewhere with your difficulties, I've been there myself.

On another note, accidents in general are taken way to lightly. Cops really need to start dealing out serious tickets to the one who is at fault especially the rearenders. Maybe then people might start taking their driving a little more serious.

c eltic....good to see that your case is moving on.

I can tell you that any car I drive, I'm insured under. It doesn't matter whether I'm driving my daily driver, a rental car, my neigbors 'vette, or test driving a car from a dealership I'm thinking of buying, I'm the person that's covered on all of them.

I can see an honest mistake was made regarding the lady giving the wrong insurance #. Glad that was cleared up.

When I started reading that there may be some assessment towards celtic for his percentage of fault, that's what really PO'd me.

If it were me in your shoes, she substantially wrecked a brand new car. Whenever the airbags go off, that means more than just sheet metal work. As you say, if fluids were spilling out of the engine bay, that's also not a good sign. You've got potential engine issues, interior issues (replacing airbags and the dash areas is no small task) in addition to the sheet metal work, that's substantial damage. I'd hold out for a new car.

Insurance.......

Due to the plethora of "uninsured"(illegal aliens) drivers here we pay out the hiney for our premiums...$117 per month for Eleanor. Why? Cause the insurance agency has to cover the hit and run offs and hit and run into the woods accidents.

Been there myself with the accidents- glad yours went well!

Back on topic. I have read this whole thing and am completely with Celtic. Someone pulls out on you blind, you've no chance of stopping. I am glad you are getting it all sorted out.
