$30K+ for used 05 GT coupes.. hahahahah

I swear that the dealers in the NorthEast are brain dead. I've seen used 05 GT coupes for more than $30,000! A quick search revealed none under 25,000. Is it like this everywhere?

Unfortunately none of them accept x-plan on GT's either... so when I order I'm going to have to order out of state and either pick it up or have it delivered It really shouldn't be like this.. I understand that the NorthEast won't sell Mustangs year round, but the allocations are off. Some places in other parts of the country I've seen 35+ GT's on their lot, around here you're lucky if there are 2, and its 85% chance that they're auto transmissions.

That would be nice! More than $5k above what I paid for my 05 GT new! And yes, it is pretty well loaded other than no auto, no side impact air bags and not S1000 (S500 instead).

Not like that around here. You can get xplan from most any dealer now. Haven't priced used, so I don't know how high they are.

For some reason the used '05 GT's are selling high and holding their value nicely.

Give a shout to tasca ford in cranston RI. Awesome guys to work with and they hooked me up with x-plan, no problem on a GT. Abe Richardson (sales) and Gary (sales mgr) were a pleasure to deal with. Tell 'em Matt with the black Gt sent ya-- they'll take care of you.

I was basically just looking at what was available used to waste some time. If I buy the S197 it will be new and in the spring.

There are many, many 06 GTs remaining which likely explains the $1,500 factory incentive. You should be looking to pay sticker minus about $3,500 which should put you in a GT Premium, manual for around 25 grand. Search and call outside your area if the locals won't discount in that range.

30K for a used 05 is wildly out of line pricing. They are probably in that car at around 20-21.

That's the reason I ended up getting a new '06...it was cheaper to get a new one versus getting a used '05.

Yes I've already spoken with out of state dealers who will take x-plan and ship it to me. I was basically just looking around trying to find an alloy gray to see in person, and figured I might as well take a look at some used. I was just blown away by some of the prices. Actually the best price I've seen is a member selling his 05 on here.

Monaco Ford in Glastonbury has a few Alloy Grey Gt's and many other GT's too. They'll except X-plan. Found that out after I got my 07 GT from Mantilia Ford in West Haven. They gave me a good break but wouldn't except X-plan. Mantilia Ford was nice as pie before I ordered my car and then afterwords they were THE WORST DEALERSHIP I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. STAY AWAY FROM MANTILIA MOTORS!!!!!!! Very poor customer service!!!!!!

Good to know, I have the same despise for Healey. My Uncle bought an explorer from them years ago with lifetime oil changes. He was due for one so he called a week ahead and said he wanted to set one up before going on a business trip. They set a time the day before he left, but then cancelled that morning. He had to go on the trip so he went.. they then revoked his lifetime oil changes beause they said he had too many miles since the last change. So because they cancelled on him, he went over the mileage since last oil change and they revoked it.

They also tried to sell me a used Ranger 4x4 for twice the value and it had a burnt out clutch and a hubs/front axles/transfer case that were all in desperate need of repair.

Yes, keep those prices high. Mine also is fully loaded (auto) except shaker 1000 (didn't want) for $28,400 MSRP. I don't feel bad about that because it was the 1st GT in my city (Nov. '04).

Midwest Prices

Used 05's are going for 22 or 23 in the Kansas City area. I have seen dealers offering 4K off of MSRP on the west coast and some parts of the Midwest on 06 models.

I toyed around with the idea of trading my 05 in for an 06 on x-plan. My car has close to 35,000 miles on it already and the dealer wanted to give me $21,000 for my car....even after I told him it would be returned to bone stock. I was stunned.

Ultimately I decided to keep the 05 and trade up (idealy to a shelby) in the future rather than side step into another GT.
