300 miles and I already made a boo boo

I went to get something to eat today, and I noticed a small scratch in the leather steering wheel. I don't even remember how/when it happened.

You might have scrached it with the metal seat belt tab? Scratched the horn center cap with mine.

Yeah I got one the other day too, not sure how...on the bright side, the leather seems to heal itself to some degree, its getting less noticable...

The more careful you are and more you pay attention and take care of her, the more things will happen. Or the more things you will notice. When attending baseball games to watch my brother in law play in high school, I park at the opposite end of the parking lot, usually with another large vehicle between me and the field and far enough away it would take a monster foul ball to hit me. I still got hit and have a small dent above the passenger side wheel well. I also got dinged by a shopping cart at Wal-Mart at some point on the same side but behind the rear wheel. They're only noticeable at certain angles with enough light, but I know they're there. I'm just waiting til I get a couple more to get them all fixed at once.

Palm your keys getting in and out of the car(and keep them to a minimum), its easy to nail a steering spoke, the wheel, or the center console with it getting in and out. If you don't pay attention its like edward scissorhands in the car.

I got one in the steering wheel, as well. Think I got it once getting out of the car, it seems easy to damage.

I had a small scratch on my steering wheel as well, it was right on the top of the wheel and could be seen when I had the top down...it bugged me enough I got a q-tip and some black shoe polish and applied it to the area then polished it down. It's only noticeable now if you get up close and really try to look for it.

Let's see, in the 3.5k that I've driven mine over the last 2.5 months I've broken my windshield pulling the stock rearview mirror off, I smacked my splitter on a parking stop while not paying attention and I backed into a curiously placed, super high curb scraping the bottom of my right Stinger (medicated - now I know why they say don't operate heavy machinery!). Yeah, the more you worry about it the more will happen to it. I'm just a bit more careful parking now - it was tough getting used to the zero ground clearance!
