I'm trying to decide between the reds also. From what I've seen so far, I'd say Redfire looks best.

$0.02.

I wouldn't be able to pick right now either so don't feel bad. IMO you can't go wrong with either red. Do you want a bright color or a metallic color?

Redfire is probably going to be the least rarest color of the three. (Black has a chance at winning this one. I have a feeling Redfire will probably be around as long as Lazer Red was or Ford wouldn't show it off so much. Seems to be Bill Ford's favorite color at least.

Sonic Blue is a toss up that I wouldn't buy untill you have seen it on the lot during the day and at night. The car looks purple under certain lighting. I like it but wish Ford would bring back a real bright blue.

Torch Red by a longshot. Redfire is too burgundy/dark to me. Torch is beautiful.

Of those 3, I would pick torch red without question. I don't like the burgandy look of redfire (too rich looking for me) and blue just doesn't look right on a mustang IMO. When I think of a mustang the first thing that comes to mind is a bright colored red 64 1/2 mustang and because this car resembles the original mustangs torch red fits this body style the best.

I am debating on screaming yellow or torch red myself. But I have until next spring to decide. B)

I like Torch Red but don't know how well it will go with the red leather interior.

And of course you could always go with the black with the red interior. I've always loved the way that looked.

I too was having an awfully hard time deciding what color to get. Originally I considered
  • Black
  • Satin Silver
  • Torch Red
  • Performance White
  • Redfire
  • Mineral Grey
in that order... I'm going with Black. -Wife complained about white , Mineral Grey is close to color of the Jeep that I will be trading in... Redfire is like a metallic version of what is on my other Jeep

...had a 94 Mustang GT in black and a 97 Wrangler in Stone White. I now have a 2000 Silverstone Metallic Wrangler Sport, a Silver Blue ION 3 and a 2003 Sienna Pearl Wrangler Sport. With good upkeep & a California Duster, any color is manageable

Well, my vote goes for one not on the list and that's only because my wifes one condition for me to get the 05 is that it is not red. I've had about 10 red vehicles over the years and she's tired of it. I will probably go with the satin silver and get the GT stripes painted on. I would vote for the torch red though. I think the silver will compliment my '66, which is..........you guessed................red. In the end, if I really fall in love with red, I will get it. The color is the only reason mine isn't ordered yet. I have to see them up lose and personal before I decide.

Don't get the torch red... it looks as if you spend a lot of time in the sun with that color it will fade into a nice pink.

Maybe a good trick is to decide which color on a '69 stang you like the most. And go with that color.

I've always wanted a red car, but not a bright one. So, redfire was the choice I made from the 1st time I saw it. Black as a close 2nd.

Personally, I prefer redfire. I've always liked deeper, more burgandy looking reds over bright reds like torch red. Sonic Blue looks purple in bright light IMO, which I don't like. But, to each his own.

My suggestion is to view a few '04 Mustangs in redire, torch red and sonic blue, so you can see the colors in person. It shouldn't be too difficult to find them on the road. All three colors were offered on the '04.

Redfire might be the most common color out of the three, but IMO it looks great everytime I see it.
