Trying to get my g/f to trade in her 05 focus for a V6 stang. I think that would be cool the Guy gets the GT, the lady the V6. What a perfect world.

I'll tell you what, the dealer gave us a V6 demo for the weekend while mine was in transit from GA, and I was NOT impressed. I would never have been happy with a V6.
some of us dont have a choice but get a V6

I'm not dissin the V6 by any means, just hate when people say girls should get a V6. I thought about getting a V6 for a brief moment, but knew I'd never be happy. I admire anyone who can own a stang in NYC, between gas and insurance and traffic and everything else!
Over New Years, the wife and I were in Tampa and rented a V6 for five days (mainly cause Hertz didn't have any GTs). We were very pleased with it.
But the plain truth is that I had not bought a new car in a very long time and I could now afford it, so if I was going to get one, it was going to be exactly what I wanted - no more, no less, and that meant a V8! I grew up with V8 Detroit iron and could never afford it then, so by golly that's what I wanted!

Sorry - that came off as rather pompous!
My point is just that the V6 '05 is still a heck of a car and I'd be happy with one; I just had to have the V8 for my own personal reasons.
dangit, I'm digging myself in deeper........ :bang:

EXCUSE ME?????
That was a bit of a sexist remark!!!!
Oh and yeah tell the wife congrat!!!!!!

PS Kevin... I'm not going toward the GT vs V6 debate... My problem is the pig headed sexist remarks about women should drive a V6!
