You work at the AAI plant right? If so, why are they holding certain GT's. It's official for me, mine is being held back for something. They're in ATL before they're at my dealer in DET. So what's up?
Is the rumored rear-end noise the culprit? If so, are they replacing them?
I've got a sister in law that's a project manager at Ford for light truck and her cousin works at AAI too. They don't know.
Thanks for any info you can provide

Agreed, we got bent over for this. I ordered mine from a DET dealer so that I could get it sooner (and see the fam), but they've already delivered some here in ATL. Define irony.
It was built the week of 9/27, that's all I know. It's just sitting in a friggin' lot right now.

Add mine to the list. It was showing to be delivered week of 10/10. It's been built since third week of Sept. Then, yesterday, my dealer informs me the car has been placed on "hold". Reason not stated. This is the same kind of thing that happened when we were waiting for the new 02 Thunderbird. It's more than a little discouraging.

Mine was built week of 9/20 (vin#103675). Shows SHIPPED CONVOY ,no ETA date. It's been that way for 1 1/2 weeks. Salesguy says they anticipate it's arrival.... I suspect my GT is also keeping ya'lls company.

I think that with payign customers like us, we should get al lthe detailed info on our cars. I've committed money to this car already, wihtout even ever sitting in one yet, and I deserve to get some answers as to why my car is going to be late now.

What we need is for people who have actually gotten delivery of their 05 Stangs to tell us what their build dates are. Also if anyone can get build dates of Mustangs that are arriving at dealers.
This info could tell us if all the '05s that are being held were build before a particular date.
Just as an example, it could be possible that people who are getting their Stangs have cars that were built after 9/29 and the ones build before 9/29 are being held for rework.

Mine was showing to be delivered sometime this week. Now it's back to TBD. None at Dealer as of today.

I was told that some of the early cars built were in the back of the lot at AAI and might not be the first ones shipped. We can only hope the lots get emptied completly before they pile more in front of them.

My dealer said shipments were running 1 to 2 weeks behind (as we already know).
